Application of cornfield herbicide

Chemical weed control in corn fields requires careful selection of the right herbicide, based on the optimal time for application, proper dosage, and correct method of use. This ensures both effective weed control and the safety of the corn crop. Before planting, if there are no weeds in the field, a pre-emergence herbicide can be applied. Commonly used products include 40% isopropyl grass·莠 at 250–300 g/acre, 40% acetaminophen at 200–250 g/acre, 40% Ding·莠 at 200–250 g/acre, 52% isopropyl grass·莠 at 200–250 g/acre, 60% isopropyl grass·莠 at 180–230 g/acre, and 40% methyl acetate at 200–250 g/acre. After wheat harvest, fields with high weed pressure can benefit from a "one-time kill" approach. For annual weeds, mix 40% isopropyl grass·莠 (200–250 g) with 20% paraquat (150–200 g). For perennial weeds, combine 40% isopropyl grass·莠 (200–250 g) with 41% glyphosate isopropylamine salt (250–300 g). During the corn growth period, timing is crucial. Before weeds emerge (1–3 leaf stage), apply 40% Yufeng (isopropyl grass·莠) at 250–300 ml/acre or 52% Xiyangyang (isopropyl grass·莠) at 200–250 ml/acre. At the 3–5 leaf stage, which is critical for weed control, use 4% nicosulfuron suspending agent (100–120 ml) or 53% jade sweet (nicotinic acid to Tianjin) at 90–105 g/acre. For fields with more aconite, a combination of 40% happy matter (smoke to Tianjin) with 56% sodium dimethyltetrachloride is recommended. In the 5–6 leaf stage, when weeds are more prevalent, options like 40% happy things (smoke to Tianjin) at 120–150 ml or 40% fate (sulphur grass to Tatsujin) at 250–300 ml can be used. When dealing with specific weeds like fragrant aconite or convolvulus, 56% sodium dimethyltetrachloride or 48% oxalopine may be applied. After the 8–10 leaf stage, paraquat can be used to control weeds, especially if they are dense. If weed density is low, a combination of 40% isopropyl grass·莠 with 20% paraquat is effective. When using a single herbicide, always calculate the dose based on the product's recommended rate and the actual area. When mixing two or more herbicides, ensure they have different spectrums but are compatible in terms of crop type, application timing, and method. When combining wettable powders with emulsifiable concentrates, dissolve the powder first in a small amount of water before adding the concentrate. Always mix thoroughly before spraying.
