Possible problems with the distribution box and weak box installation
In front of us, we discussed the precautions for installing the distribution box and how to properly mount it. Today, we will go over some common issues that may arise during the installation process and how to avoid them.
1. **Incorrect or improper selection based on design drawings** – One of the most frequent mistakes is not following the drawings accurately. This can lead to mismatched components and installation errors.
2. **Thin metal casing with poor rigidity** – Some boxes are made from thin steel, which can cause the casing to deform under pressure or during installation. This leads to large gaps when closing the door, affecting both aesthetics and functionality.
3. **Electrical devices not meeting design specifications** – Using incorrect models or sizes of electrical equipment inside the box can compromise safety and performance. It's essential to verify that all components match the design requirements.
4. **Lack of grounding or undersized busbars** – Some distribution boxes lack proper grounding systems or have busbars that are too small to handle the required current. This can be a serious safety hazard and must be addressed during installation.
5. **Missing isolation and protection features** – Certain boxes do not have necessary isolation or plug-in protection. Additionally, some protection panels are not made with insulating or flame-retardant materials, increasing the risk of electrical faults or fires.
To address these issues:
1. **Strictly follow the design drawings and standards** – Ensure all materials are checked upon delivery. Verify that there is a factory certificate, correct nameplate information, complete accessories, and no defects in insulation or coating. The electrical components must meet the design specifications.
2. **Ensure the metal box has sufficient thickness** – The material used should comply with the required thickness to prevent deformation and ensure structural integrity.
3. **Proper grounding and terminal board setup** – The grounding busbar should be connected to the box body, while the working neutral busbar should be insulated from the box (except in main distribution boxes). The busbar should be made of copper and have a cross-section at least twice the largest wire size inside the box, with a minimum of 60mm² and a thickness of at least 3mm.
By paying attention to these details, you can ensure a safe, reliable, and compliant installation of the distribution box. Always double-check before finalizing the work to avoid future complications.

It refers to the part of the pad between the connected part and the nut. Generally flat metal ring, used to protect the surface of the connected parts from nut abrasion, disperse the pressure of the nut on the connected parts.
