Things to Keep in Mind When Applying Wallpapers:
1. Before applying wallpaper, make sure the wall surface is clean and smooth. Remove any old paint, wallpaper, or debris from the wall. If there are cracks or holes, use a suitable filler like gypsum powder to level the surface.
2. Apply a thin layer of moisture-resistant primer to the wall. This helps prevent the wallpaper from peeling off over time. Be careful not to apply too much, as it can cause uneven adhesion.
3. When applying the primer, be mindful of corners and edges where space might be limited. Make sure you cover all areas evenly without missing spots.
4. Cut the wallpaper carefully to ensure each piece aligns properly with the next. The color, pattern, and size of adjacent wallpapers should match perfectly for a seamless look.
5. For plastic wallpapers, water or glue can cause them to swell, so it's important to soak the paper in water before pasting. However, textile fiber and fiberglass wallpapers do not stretch when exposed to water, so no pre-wetting is necessary.
6. While pasting, wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with a clean cloth to avoid stains. Always keep your tools clean. If they get dirty, wash them with soapy water or a mild detergent right away.
7. After pasting, press the wallpaper firmly to remove any air bubbles. Any excess glue that comes out should be cleaned up promptly to prevent residue and ensure a neat finish.
