Two kinds of chemical agents have good control effect on A.
In order to identify the most effective pesticides for controlling *A. striata*, engineers from Anhui Tianzhushan Tourism Development Co., Ltd. conducted experiments in 2011 and 2012 at key locations within Tianzhushan National Forest Park, including Tianzhu Temple, Mazu, Changgou, and Villa. The study involved four different pesticide formulations: 5% imidacloprid EC, 40% omethoate EC, 4.5% beta-cypermethrin EC, and 25% diflubenzuron suspension. A total of 32 treatment combinations were tested using spray application methods, with a focus on evaluating how application techniques influenced the control efficacy against *A. striata*.
The results showed that the effectiveness of the pesticides was strongly correlated with the concentration used, as evidenced by an R² value greater than 0.9, indicating a high degree of linearity. All four chemicals demonstrated strong control effects on *A. striata*, but their performance varied significantly depending on the concentration applied. According to data from the China Pesticide Network, 5% imidacloprid EC and 40% omethoate EC were found to be particularly effective, with the latter showing slightly better results in some trials. These findings highlight the importance of selecting the right concentration and formulation when managing *A. striata* infestations in natural and protected areas.
