The third-generation nuclear power domestically produced nuclear-grade zirconium is officially put into service

Recently, with the second unit of AP1000 relying on the project, the first refueling overhaul of Unit 1 of Shandong Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant, the third-generation nuclear power plant produced by Guonuobao Titanium Zirconium Co., Ltd. (referred to as "National Nuclear Zirconium") Grade zirconium is officially put into service, marking the successful realization of China's nuclear grade zirconium localization goal, rewriting the situation that China has long relied on imports of nuclear grade zirconium.

Nuclear-grade zirconium, as a structural material for nuclear fuel elements of reactors, is an indispensable key material for nuclear power plants. For a long time, China's nuclear-grade zirconium has all relied on imports. With the support of the National Science and Technology Special Project of “Large Advanced Pressurized Water Reactor and High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor Nuclear Power Plant”, National Nuclear Zirconium has developed three routes A, B and C to promote nuclear power in accordance with the localization arrangement of the third-generation nuclear power nuclear grade zirconium materials. The localization process of high-grade zirconium materials gradually completed the qualification assessment from "imported tube blanks, imported raw materials to the realization of domestic raw materials". Today, domestically produced AP1000 nuclear grade zirconium materials are officially put into the stack and will assume the major responsibility of the first protective barrier for nuclear power safety.

Round magnets, also named disc magnets, are thin flat circular magnets where the thickness does not exceed the diameter.
They are the most commonly used magnet shape and the most versatile.
They are used in holding applications where a hole is drilled and the magnet is recessed into the hole.
They are commonly used with cup assemblies to increase their holding strength.

Neodymium disc magnets are incredibly versatile and have superb strength for their size. They`re used in many commercial applications including modular retail displays and point of sale stands for holding panels to a steel framework and many new packaging designs use them cleverly trapped behind layers of cardboard to provide invisible closing mechanisms.

Round magnets have a diameter greater than thickness, and are available in sizes approx 3mm up to approx 100mm diameter. Pull strengths begin at around 250g and can reach up to 262kg!
