The protection level of the electromagnetic flowmeter sensor shell is generally IP65 (international GB4208 shell protection level-dustproof and anti-water contact level). For the selection of its installation location, please refer to Chapter 5 Section 5. The main requirements of the installation environment are:




(1) The sensor should be installed in a dry and ventilated place, avoid damp, easily flooded places, and direct sunlight and rain should be avoided.




(2) It should be avoided as far as possible in places where the ambient temperature is too high. The electromagnetic flowmeter with integrated structure is also subject to the ambient temperature of electronic components, which is lower.




(3) There should be no strong leakage current on the pipeline where the sensor is installed, and it should be as far away as possible from equipment with strong electromagnetic fields, such as large electromechanics, large transformers, etc., so as not to cause electromagnetic field interference;




(4) There should be no strong vibration in the pipeline or ground where the sensor is installed, especially the integrated instrument;




(5) The location where the sensor is installed should consider the space for on-site maintenance by the staff.




Second, the choice of converter installation environment




The converter is used as an on-site installation instrument for on-site instructions, and its installation location should generally be selected:




The ambient temperature is between -10 ～ 45 ℃;




The relative humidity of the air is ≤85%;




No strong vibration at the installation site;




The surrounding air does not contain corrosive gases;




The converter should be installed indoors as much as possible. When installed outdoors, measures against sun and rain should also be taken.
