The 300,000-kilovolt vertical pulse generator set developed, designed, manufactured, installed, commissioned and tested by Harbin Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. recently passed the system acceptance at the Southwest Physics Research Institute of Nuclear Industry of Chengdu CNNC Group, marking "China Circulation The device No. 2 M (HL-2M) has an exclusive high-performance "energy driver". The reporter learned that during the development of the unit, HEC has successively overcome technical difficulties such as six-phase high-current generators, high-inertia high-speed rotors, and wide-band change control and protection systems, and has formed a number of innovations with independent intellectual property rights. The unit has a total weight of about 800 tons and a total height of about 15.5 meters. During operation, it can generate short-time high voltage, high current or high power pulses.
