The photo shows the technicians of Mr. Wang Zhijun, Mr. Xie Hongsen, Mr. Xu Huigang, Mr. Zhong Deyi, Mr. Wen Keqin and the sixth wheel factory of the Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. They completed the installation and commissioning of the YJ-3000t hydraulic press in the geochemical station, and then carried out the frame design calculation and stress experiment of the YJ-3000t hydraulic press and took a group photo.

YJ-3000t tight-loading six-face top press is jointly designed by the technicians of Geochemical Institute and Liusha, and produced by Liusha. Since 1973, the Sixth Grinding Wheel Factory has achieved excellent results in the quality and economic benefits of synthetic diamond production, and the synthesis mechanism and synthetic process of high-quality diamond produced by Liusha are mostly provided by geochemical. The Director of the Machine Tool Bureau of the First Ministry of Machinery Industry, in order to reward the researchers of the Institute of Geochemistry, for the unpaid help of synthetic diamonds, agreed to let the Liusha and Geochemical Institute jointly develop the 3000t compact press. Then, under the leadership of Mr. Xie Hongsen, the technicians of the Institute of Geochemical Institute and Liusha began to conduct research and design of the press, and it was not until 1978 that the installation and commissioning of the Geochemical Institute was successful.

Because the YJ-3000t press is pressurized by a single cylinder, it can ensure the equal pressure on the opposite sides of the high-pressure chamber, and the sample assembly is more convenient. Therefore, the successful commissioning of the YJ-3000t compact six-face top press marked the initial completion of the high-pressure laboratory of the Geochemical Institute. The six-sided top ultra-high pressure device of the YJ-3000t compact six-face top press is installed in the upper and lower mold frames. The upper and lower mold frames each have a 45° guide groove. There are four sliders in the lower frame guide groove, and the slider is provided with a tungsten carbide anvil. A tungsten carbide anvil is fixed to each of the upper and lower modules. When the lower module is pushed upward by the piston, the top anvil in the center of the upper and lower mold frames and the top anvil on the four sliding blocks in the lower frame guiding groove simultaneously press the hexahedron pressure transmitting medium, so that the cavity in the central hole of the pressure transmitting medium is generated. The heating system of YJ-3000t compact six-face top press consists of a regulated power supply 30KVA voltage regulating transformer and a 20KVA electronic AC voltage regulator. The heating power source is outputted to a low-voltage high-current transformer through voltage regulation and voltage transformation. This large current is applied to the heater outside the high-voltage sample through the upper and lower anvils to warm the cavity. In addition, the temperature is controlled by a heating electromechanical control system. The lifting process from room temperature to 2000 °C can be completed in a few minutes to several hours and can be continuously adjusted.

In 1978, the National Science Conference was held, and the Chinese scientific community began to develop rapidly. The high-pressure laboratory of the Institute of Geochemistry has also been greatly developed, from the initial high-pressure geochemical laboratory to the deep physical high-pressure experiment of the Earth. In the process of changing the room to the "Key Laboratory of High Temperature and High Pressure of Internal Matter in the Earth", this series of experimental research results has also been said to be indispensable. So far, the YJ-3000t compact six-face press is still available for scientific experiments.
