Shaanxi's R&D and pollution control technologies

A "Fluid Fine Particles and Steam Recovery Technology" was identified on March 30th in Shaanxi Baoji through the expert committee organized by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The experts at the meeting unanimously agreed that the comprehensive technology of the project has reached the domestic advanced level and has an active role in controlling haze pollution and improving air quality.
According to experts, the condensation of PM2.5 particles with water vapor is one of the main reasons for haze formation. Once PM2.5 hidden in coal-burning smoke floats in the air, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, and carcinogens carried by it can penetrate the respiratory tract and reach the bottom of the lung, causing serious harm to the human body.

Shaanxi Institute of Environmental Sciences and Shaanxi Wave Company lasted for 5 years. The “Fume Fine Particles and Steam Recovery Technology” developed by thousands of iterations of experiments was used to decelerate, cool and condense, centrifuge and siphon waste water. Techniques such as diversion collection allow the fine particles in the boiler flue gas to be effectively separated from the condensation of water vapor and collected and recovered in solid form.

Experts and scholars from the Environmental Protection Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Environmental Analysis and Testing Center, Northwest University, and Chang'an University listened to and reviewed the project's work, technology, and test reports. After on-site assessment, they considered that the project had independently developed cooling wings. Tablet technology and automatic cleaning, ash discharge, and drainage systems have all achieved technological innovations. The new technology for the removal of fine particulate matter from coal-fired boilers developed by the project has been tested by national statutory testing agencies, and the main indicators are better than the national standard limit of GB13223-2011. Dust emission concentration is 10 ~ 15mg/m3, the removal rate of fine particles reaches more than 90%, the exhaust gas humidity is ≤ 70%, with significant fine particulate matter emission reduction effect.

Finally, the participating experts agreed that the technology is scientific, reasonable, safe, reliable, and its comprehensive technology has reached the domestic advanced level. It plays an active role in controlling haze pollution and improving environmental quality. It is recommended that the progress of industrialization of results be accelerated.
