In 2010, wind power generation in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was 17.455 billion kwh, accounting for 34.8% of the country's total. The strong 500 kV grids and 220 kV grids have basically extended to all Qixian and major industrial parks. In the past five years, the Inner Mongolia Electric Power Corporation directly under the Autonomous Region has completed 21 billion yuan in grid investment, built a “three horizontal and four vertical†500 kV main grid, and actively implemented the “Renewable Energy Law†to build a world-class wind power system that receives a large proportion of wind power.†"Tian Tian" has thus guaranteed the industrialization of the autonomous region and the overall development of the economy and society.
