Swiss Clariant proposes new water-saving technology for dyeing

Clariant Chemicals of Switzerland is committed to helping textile manufacturers reduce the amount of water used in dyeing processes. The company says its advanced denim dyeing process saves 92% of water and 45% of energy savings compared to conventional processes. In addition, the company's polyester/cellulosic fiber (PES/CEL) SWIFT continuous dyeing process reduces CO2 emissions by up to 45% compared to conventional methods, while reducing water consumption by 50%.

At the same time, Clariant's "ultra low liquor ratio cellulosic dyeing" technology can save 43% energy and 25% water saving than the standard standard dyeing method. Its Blue Magic discontinuity technology saves up to 50%, saves 40% and saves 50% compared to the orthodox bleach process. Clariant claims that the company has publicly referred to the aforementioned research results as a series of "One Way" scorecards; the counts can be achieved in terms of water use, energy consumption, chemical usage, time, carbon dioxide emissions, and BOD/COD. Ratio and comparison with traditional processes.

Emrah Esder, head of Clariant's textile chemistry marketing department, said that with this "One Way" toolbox, we are a big step forward in helping and inspiring the textile industry to save resources. The transparent and reliable data presented by this tool show that the new technology can help respond to the needs of brands and retailers at any time, to achieve sustainable business needs at “controllable costs”.
