The North Coatings Industry Research and Design Institute recently developed a fast curing polyimide coating for high temperature optical fiber. The researchers introduced a fluorine-containing segment and a reactive acrylic segment into the polyimide structure, making the fluorine-modified photosensitive polyimide excellent in solubility, low optical loss, dielectric constant, and hygroscopicity.
