If a ZF gearbox of 2K250 (1:1 and 1:5 gear ratio) is used, then:

When the speed ratio is 1:1, the maximum torque is 191 N·m. It can be seen that by increasing the ZF gearbox, the torque obtained by the machine at high speed is the largest, only 191N·m, and at low speed, depending on the selected ZF box rotation ratio, the torque can be increased by 4 or 5.5 times to 764N. · m or 1050.5N·m, which meets the needs of our customers.

Of course, the connection between the ZF box and the spindle assembly is various. Some manufacturers use the key connection. Some manufacturers use the ZF box to connect a pulley, and then use the synchronous tooth belt to connect with the spindle assembly to realize the transmission.

2. Installation of ZF gearbox

ZF gearboxes generally require hot mounting. After cleaning the joint surface, heat the drive hub to about 120 °C and put it into the motor shaft until it is smoothly pushed so that the motor shaft end face contacts the thrust seat inside the hub. If the preheating of the hub is insufficient, it may cause damage to the motor output shaft.

After the ZF gearbox and the spindle motor are assembled, install other components and connect to the spindle system.

3. Cooling of ZF gearbox

ZF two-speed gearbox is a precision planetary gearbox with complex design and compact space. It includes sun gear, ring wheel, ring wheel bearing and four pairs of planetary gears with helical gears that can mesh at the same time. Therefore, ZF box The heat generated during the work requires effective cooling. We often use the oil cooler to force the circulating cooling of the ZF box. However, it should be noted that the ZF gearbox has different circulating cooling interfaces depending on the speed. This requires special attention from the designer.
